Or is it A CHAIR OF BOWLIES??
As I began to RE-write this blog post, I was taken back to the first time I read this quote from Mary Engelbreit one of my favorite artists as a teenager. My mother gave me a birthday card when I was a young girl with artwork “Chair of Bowlies. I enjoyed her art and her wit as she combined these elements to create years of joyful products with colorful vintage-styled images, uniquely her.
Life lately has mostly been for me a chair full of bowlies and it has taken some time to sort it all out. Cherries (my favorite fruit) became my visual theme and each one that arrive in my bowl was full of challenges and resolutions. Then moving on to the next bowl and so on. Today MY BOWL OF CHANGE arrived, and the discussion with myself about Change being inevitable, and necessary. *Change is good…
Making decisions about what consideration, direction, and application. I will take hold of change to secure my future Life, Location, and Art. Most importantly security and health. ART is the driver of my train, So as this year and new life evolves I will be making big changes.
Check back to see where My changes (cherries ) were applied i.e. where my new art studio will be, the medium I will be working in, and what images will inspire me.
Onward and upward
*change is an inherent aspect of life, reflecting the continuous evolution of circumstances, perspectives, and environments. It can occur gradually or abruptly, often inspiring individuals to adapt and grow in response. While some may embrace change with open arms, others might resist due to comfort in familiarity. Regardless of one's reaction, change can catalyze progress, presenting new opportunities and challenges that shape personal development and societal advancements. Ultimately, it is the ability to navigate change that defines resilience and fosters innovation.
