I had the wonderful experience of hearing Elizabeth Gilbert ( EAT LOVE PRAY ) speak recently and I came away with new courage!

Her talk centered around the question of finding ones “ IKIGAI ”, Japanese for Finding Your Purpose, or Calling~ HTTPS://EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG/WIKI/IKIGAI
As she spoke of how to find the path ~ this question of purpose, and living that life without fear, she asked us to embrace our curiosity and let go of needless suffering.
She encouraged us to uncover the “strange Jewels” that are hidden in each of us, and balance between soulful spirituality and cheerful pragmatism.
I bought her book, Big Magic, Creative Living Beyond Fear. With each turn of the pages ,her words of encouragement pushing me forward, I know that I have found my Ikigai in ART. Now it’s time for courage to find my new voice through images that express my vision and path ~
