One of the attractions to France for me as an artist and textile designer is the glorious layering of colors, designs and textures apparent in the village architecture and in the natural surroundings . All of these blend together into a montage of inspiration for me.
Burgundys, golds, greens, greys, blues ,lavenders, browns and oranges suggest new palette combinations.
Rocks, barks, stones, leaves, flowers and trees suggest new patterns for woodblock textiles.
